Hey ya'll. I'm in the market for new rear shocks. anybody know anything about shocks made by Forza MDI? They are cheap, but is it too good to be true...?

can be seen here:
www.oldbikebarn.com/Rear-Shocks-14-3-8-Eye-to-Eye

or would progressive from z1 be a wiser choice?

any other suggestions?

I think these shocks have appeared on eBay, by several different vendors...and if so, then the US$119 price tag is too high:laugh: But I have been known to be wrong:) Don't know anything about the quality but the length offered (as being correct for many older kawasaki's [see the link]) is too long by about an inch (as noted by supercharged).

I just bought a set off ebay for my 650, $112USD shipped to Canada. The mount up easy, look good, and seems to perform well. They're a lot stiffer then what I had, but I think thats just cause my old ones were so gone. So far I like them and wont be getting anything else anytime soon. Hard to beat them for the money, as Progressives will set you back twice as much.

Were the shocks you purchased actually as long as they stated (14+ inches)?

I have these shocks on my 750. I bought these over 5 years ago from JC Whitney and they work and perform well. They were the exact replacements for 750 in terms of length. They are much stiffer than stock (still riding with the lowest pre-load after 5 years). I would buy them again (and have for a different bike that I had).

booyah!:woohoo: Thanks man! thats just what I was looking for.

I'm 98% sure my current shocks (stock) are 13.5". The forza's are 14 3/8. Would the extra 7/8 inch mess things up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but would the higher shocks change the trail/rake angle and make the bike a little more responsive? I am kinda looking for a more street oriented aggresive style more than the cruiser that its originally meant to be.

any body?

It will, especially if you are used to worn out shocks. When I replaced mine, they would bottom out over bumps and wallow in the corners.
I feel like I ride my bike hard and I have no complaints about the rear shocks, the front suspension, however...
