Honda wheels on a KZ? was created by ujmrider
I have a 77 KZ1000 I built from 4 parts bikes,a 75z1, a 76z1b, and 2 77kz's.Many thanks to this site and to WG for tech help,it runs great! Since its my daily rider and a frankenstein, I'm considering putting wheels on it from a 82 CB750F parts bike. The stock tire & rim sizes are the same for 77kz and the 82cb. I dont know what I might run into with axles, hubs, rotors etc. Anybody ever try something like this? I didnt buy the Honda parts bike yet.

axle diameters and wheel widths where the axle passes through will be the two most important things to check.

I had a nice set of Lester Mags from a CB750 that I tried to put on my 900. The wheel bearings on the front wheel did not match. I tried a few place to find the right size but I couldn't. The axle (inside) diameter was the same, but the outside (wheel) diameter was different. The rear fit perfectly. I think you can get bearings made but they were kind of pricey if I remember correctly.
