Im converting the Z1 to dual front brakes and single rear disk.

I just got a set of Enkie stock kawasaki mag wheels from what i believe was a 1979 kz 1000 LTD. The best part is that they were free. Like i said, im going to put them on my z1. I put the front wheel on direct swap i just need a right side brake caliper. Im kind of stumped on the rear wheel its a 5.10 X 16 inch. Do i need to get a swingarm off of a LTD 1000 to fit the wheel? Im going to go that route anyways because i dont want to mess with welding brackets on my drum brake swingarm. What im asking is what do i need to do the swap?

Just get the Disk brake swingarm. They are diffrent. You will need the brake stay and you might have to hunt down the spacers for the axle.
The swingarm will have needle bearings.
Be patient.The swingarms can be had on ebay sometimes for $9.99.
I have one i believe. I'll check the next time i'm at the shop.
I might have the rear caliper.You will need to have amounting bracket for the master cylinder and a disk brake brake pedal.
It will not be a easy conversion.
You could find a rear mag that has brake shoes. Roy
