Does anyone know which progressive shocks will fit a 1982 KZ750-N1?

Last time I talked to him, he offered to mount the springs on the shocks no charge if you buy them from him.... a very generous offer if they still do it. That job is a royal PITA if you don't own a spring compressor.

BTW, I got the Progressive brand shocks/springs for my 750 twin. Not sure if yours is the same, but I recall the spring rates were something like 80/120 in that ballpark. I think that is the pound force required to compress the spring one inch and then two inches.

Tried Z1 but they are unable to cross reference. They suggested that I take some measurements from my old shocks. What would you measure and how? Have any of the Spectre owners here changed out the air shocks to standard shocks?

Measure the distance center to center between the two mounting bolt holes.

76-80 KZ750 twin is 12.5"
80-82 KZ750 E & H is 13.5"

Then select springs to match your weight and riding style. I bought 90/140 springs (I weigh 235 lbs) and they were entirely too stiff.
