Interchangeable wheel for 1983 750 spectre?

Hey guys, any and all comments welcome... like everyone says.. "im sure this has been asked 100 times," I just bought a 1983 750 spectre for $500.00 and plan to upgrade a few things... I would much rather have a wire spoke wheel as opposed to the mags already on... So here is my 2-parted question... First, can I put an 18" on my rear, which is currently 16", and secondly, are any wheels that came with a different year or sized bike be able to swap without modification? Thanks in advance... This is my first bike by the way so if this is a simple question that is why.

the front wheel from an 82 csr will fit but isnt the spectre shaft drive? i dont know what will work for the rear if its shaft

Okay thanks, I appreciate it, I'll keep an eye open just in case.... JMK what makes it such a downgrade? Haha, Maybe you can tell me upside to keeping the mags and convince me otherwise.

Have you looked for a spoked rear wheel for a shaft bike yet? Maybe you can rig something up from an old Beemer or a Ural.
