Stock chain replacment

Well i was trying to tighten my chain and it is now sitting on top of my bike and i have no clue how to put it back on. does anybody know what type of chain was used on a 1980 kz 1000 ltd? i am in desperate need of a new chain. does anybody have a link to where i could buy one with a masterlink? I just wanna ride again.

Listen to Old Man Rock - He is wise.

I just replaced the chain on an 82 1000 with one from Z1 Enterprises. (Best price I found shopping around local and on the net, Also you will get the BEST service you've ever experienced from them). I would strongly suggest you also replace front and rear sprocket when installing a new chain.

ditto on the z1 link,, bought mine from them, I did the 530 conversion also.
On a side note, if you buy the "o ring" chain , buy the install tool,,, saves fingers,, dont ask how I know
