I may be wrong here... But I don't think one can plate the whole pipe set ( mufflers are the problem ).
My buddy Steve has a fantastic 900 LTD with sad looking pipes:( And we have not been able to find a source who claims to be able to plate both the mufflers and the pipes.

But I agree, prices on everything are sky high. And it seems many people are wanting to go back to the 100% stock look. And to them, co$t is no object to reach that goal.

300 dollars on ebay brand new vance and hines pipes 360 in the store. Chrome isn't costing that much. Nostalgia, however, is. Well, maybe I should put my pipes on ebay and see what they will go for. They are by far the nicest set of stock pipes I have ever seen in person. They still have the black paint on the end caps and don't have any blue on them. I could use the cash right now, especially for things that I don't need.
