I'm not sure if I am missing some parts. I tightened the rear wheel nut as tight as I could get it, short of standing on the wrench itself, and thought that every thing was just great. I was thinking I was being paranoid when the bike weaved a bit on the road when hitting cracks of tar-filled cracks on the asphalt... But in the back of my head, there is still a doubt. Seems to me that when I hit the throttle (from a standstill), the back end wants to go to the right, just a wee bit. I'd like to fix this myself, but will spent the money if need be to have a motorcycle shop fix it good! I looked at the parts diagram, but not sure if I'm missing anything. Perhaps some of you will have advice for me?

Thanks a lot!

I am thinking I may be missing a washer, because there is too much room between the slot in the nut and the holes for the cotter pin. I would say, about the thickness of say, a washer?

sounds to me like it is just crack walking, they do that, I hate hitting the cut grooves in the road, which is normal
as far as pulling to the right, you may have a swing arm bearing going bad, check the side to side movement

Put up on the center stand, make sure rear wheel is lined up straight. Also grab swing arm and check for movement, grab tire and do same thing. :)

PS, here is a diagram of your axle, anything missing?

I will look at this tonight. I borrowed a torque wrench as well, so I can convince myself that the wheel isn't going to fall off while riding! That would mean trouble there! Especially if the wife is riding pillion!
