side cover help,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,please was created by School Teacher
ok i have a kz1000 g z-1 classic that i just got running smoothly and on my maiden voyage i lost my right side cover now i have a 76 cover laying around......doh doesn't fit the top two pins fit but not the bottom. my guess is the bottom tab connects to the master cylinder bracket , well on the 76 no master cyl (drum brake) so i was wondering if anyone knows of other models that will work? (i know emblems are different just talking side cover)

thanks in advance guys!

I'm pretty sure the 1977-78 KZ1000A1/A2 and 1977-80 B1/4 models have the same peg placement as the KZ1000G1 sidecover.

I just went out and checked my G-1 cover against the 77 1000 LTD cover and Mcdroid is correct, the pin placement is the same.

Hopefully this will help, make small holes in the side covers, then ziptie them onto the frame to secure them. I have never lost one since.
