I have a '77 650C with dual front calipers. The piston in the master cylinder is sticking, so I need to replace it. I have a friend who has a M/C off a Harley with dual calipers. Will this work, is there anything I need to look out for, like amount of travel or anything? I would think it'd be okay since all a m/c is doing is compressing fluid. Anyone have any experience with compatibility? The other plus is being able to use Dot5 fluid...

The harley may have 1 inch handle bars so the mount will be larger. Probably still work but you will have to adapt to your 7/8" bars.
