New rubber for the 1000LTD was created by supercharged
I had a set of Pirelli Sport Demons mounted on the 1000 LTD. I'm really liking the pattern and hope to break them in this weekend.

yeah... I love the pirelli's for sportbikes, so I contact a rep and he steared me to the Demons since some of the newest rubber doesn't fit.

Such an upgrade from the 1979 era of tires... it's all good :)

What are the size of those tires? Like I know my bike take 16 inch 130's on the rear and a 19 inch 110 on the front. Yours look bigger! I also read your supercharged article and the other 1000 has something on the cooling fins, what is thator are those?

The Pirelli's pictured above are:
100/90 x19 on the front
130/90 x16 on the rear
both are V rated.

I am switching out my 1980 LTD since I absolutely love these.

As for the fins, I believe you are referring to the chrome colling fins that are mostly decorative bolt-ons. They are intended to look good and divert some air to the rear of the engine based on the curve in the fins. My broke on my 79 but still have them on the 80... haven't seen them anywhere for sale lately.
