Have a 78 KZ400 B1 with a laeking front brake master cylinder. I took it all apart, cleaned it, and put back togather. Started to leak again around the dust cover. The rubber on the pluger is 30 years old and worn.
The problem is I can not find a rebuild kit for this model. On ebay, there are rebuild kits for the A1, but the cylinder is completely different.
Also, on eBay, they sell replacement cylinders for 50-70 bucks for the kz400. Though this would work, but the stated handlebar diameter is 7/8" and when I measure mine, it is 3/4".
Seeking help on rebiuld kit or good replacement. I would think that anythink replacement cyclinder would work with 3/4" handlebar. Only 1 disc, so most likely anything would be overkill.
Searched for about 45 minutes, but did not find any topic that dealt with the KZ400B1.
