have a 79 kz1000,i thought stock look,with a header,was all-that. i was wrong,these bike pics,i see with newer rear=ends and front forks is the way to build.how do i find out what to use,and do you a major meachine shop.

It takes a lot of thinking, a lot of measuring, and a lot of research to do a front/rear swap properly.
Fork length, rake angle, bike weight, etc, all come into play. For instance, a ZX10 weighs around 375 lbs dry, while your 1000 weighs over 100 lbs more, so obviously the fork springs are not going to be ideal.
There's a lot more to be considered, but rather than going through it all here, it would be a lot easier if you searched the forum for other posts on the subject.
To get some ideas you might want to check out the front end swap and the rear end swap forums on 750turbo.com. Lots of good stuff there.

And don't forget, $$$$, time and patience for this crap ain't cheap nor is all these parts readily available.
And the wife/girlfriend (if married) inform her you won't be seeing her for awhile for this quickly becomes an obsession.
There's a whole slew of postings on this subject matter, thank GOD our wifes/GF put up with us...
