This rear was thrown in with a project I had a while back. Anyone know what it came off? A kz1000J?

If you're referring to the Z1R project I picked a recently no it didn't come with that! BTW I'm waiting for a starter a fellow member sold me so as soon as I get it I'll see if I can get it running and post an update.

80-83 KZ750E, KZ1000J, possibly a 550 (I'm not real familiar with the 550).

Wrong on both counts, at least according to kawasaki.com parts diagrams.

According to the parts diagrams, all the 1000's through 1980 had four bolt rotors, and the Mark II rotors that I put on my 750B have four bolts.

That style rotor (7 bolt) first appeared on the 1980 750 fours, and the 1000's in 81.

Looks just like the wheel on my KZ1100A2. I just had is off this past weekend putting on a new tire. The wheel bearings are missing. Does the otherside have a chain gear or the splined shaft drive hub.......chris3

It might be off of either a 81 or 82 GPZ1100 (B1,B2)

Yea it could be the GPZ1100. Same wheel used on KZ1000J and the KZ1000 police bikes for several years around that era. GPZ750, KZ750E, KZ700 used a different part number wheel that used that kind of rotor too.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
