What seat will fit?

hey, im not sure what subject to put this under. but anyways, im wondering what all seats will fit on my 77 KZ1000LTD. i am wanting to buy a king/queen seat for my bike, and i found one on ebay, but it says it came off a 81 kz1000, i asked the guy if it will fit, he said no. but then someone else told me it would, anyone know FOR SURE if they will interchange? and also if anyone has a king/queen seat for my KZ1000 LTD please let me know, im also looking for a chrome kick stand, and a sissy bar. thanks guys.

The 1981 seat is not a direct 'drop-on' replacement. For your bike, either the KZ1000 LTD seat (B1/2/3/4 = 1977-1980 KZ1000LTD) or the KZ1000 A1/2 (1977/1978) seat will all fit. If you are looking for a KingQueen seat, you need one that has the correct seat pan...there was a manufacturer that used the correct seat pan and these regularly appear on eBay and are very reasonably priced...if you are referring to the LTD style seat as the KingQueen style, then expect to pay considerably more on eBay, but they are also regularly available.

The 81 seat is NOT a direct bolt on to the 77 KZ1000. Can it be made to fit? Maybe, depends how handy you are. Corbin may still offer a King/Queen seat for a 77. I know they still offer a Gunfighter & Lady (See here: www.corbin.com/kawasaki/73kz.shtml )

I've seen King&Queen seats for the 900's & 100's come up frequently on ebay. Just keep checking.
