do I bleed the master cylinder first, or the caliper first?

I got brake fluid flowing clean with no bubbles out of both, but still dont have any brakes... any ideas?

You bleed the master cylinder and the caliper at the same time. take the top off the master cylinder reservoir. Loosen the bleed fitting on the caliper and attach a clear tube to it so the fluid will drain into a jar.

Basically, you want to use the brake lever to pump fluid and when the lever gets near the END of stroke, you clamp off the bleed fitting on the caliper and let the brake lever return to start position. Keep doing it until you pump all the air through. If you let the brake lever retrun with the bleed fitting open, you will suck air into the caliper.

Keep filling the reservoir as you pump it down, if the level gets too low you will pump air back into the line.

Cover the reservoir top with a rag to keep fluid from popping up and getting on your frame.

I use the bleeder screw on the master cylinder to bleed it first, then bleed at the caliper.

Make sure your getting a full stroke when pumping the handle, often you have to remove the unit form the handlebar to get a full stoke.

did it and all the air bubbles were out of the tubs and it was coming out clear and running well, but still no brakes. maybe I need the caliper rebuilt?

Has this been sitting a while? Is it possible the caliper piston rusted in place and isn't moving?
