I have a 1982 KZ1100 D1 that I am parting out.

How do you separate the drive shaft from the drive unit at the motor end? It is a splined shaft on the motor side, and i can't see any type of bolt or pin holding the ujoint on it, it wiggles like it wants to come loose, but it doesn't just slide off like a car drive shaft.

How do you pull the stubby swing arm shafts? It appears that you have to thread a bolt into the center after the cover plates are removed and extract them?

Anyone need parts from this bike?

Thanks for your help!

There is a pin that holds the shaft in place, press it in and the shaft pulls off. On my 750 I have to remove the clamps on the rubber boot and shove the boot around, then find the pin and press it down, pulling off the shaft.

I'm sorry, I can't help with the other question.
