CSR fork mount turn signals?
11 May 2008 17:09
Ive got a 81 CSR, and I put new handle bars on it that are almost straight. LOoks so much better! But the turn signals dont fit on like they used to with the old ones. So does anybody know of a place to get mounts to move them to the forks? Or the diameter of the forks so I can improvise.
Also I need risers for the front brake line to clear the tank.

get some turn signal stems and use them to hold the headlight on and to hold the turnsignals. Most are 10mm (check first though). I bought a pair for 16.00 that are only about 1.5" long that I am using on mine.

I did the same thing, bought a pair of stems and I was off and running. My bars are pretty flat, the brake line just touches the tank if I turn right against the steering stop.

I did the same thing to get more comfy handle bars. I bought a pair of clamp on fork mount brackets online somewhere (under $30). They are chromed steel and have 10mm holes and fit the forks just fine. They are two pieces that clamp around the forks - easy install.
Then I bought some cheap stalk style turn signals on ebay for about $20 something. Was going to use the rig but then I acquired a full set of matching front and rear turn signals from another Jap bike that clamp to the fork tubes. Unfortunately these are one piece, split clamps so I have to pull the fork tubes to slip them on.
Still using my original turn signals till my wife learns to ride (don't want to risk breaking the new stuff). Will install the new signals when I get time. If you need more info email me at jnk@intelluride.com with Kawasaki in the subject line.

I am limited on money right now...and had the same issue.
Here is what I did for nowUltimately I don't like it but it works and costs nothing. Remember, I don't have a lot of money, you get creative like that...LOL!!!
What did you do with your master cylinder, I am looking for a resolution to that problem.
