1978 trapaziod master cylinder

I just got a 1978 kz100a2a, im doing a dual disc conversion. I just want to know if the master cylinder will work with a dual splitter.
1976 KZ900 LTD (sold)
1977 KZ1000 LTD
1978 KZ1000 A2A

i don't see why not. unless it's really small, it should work fine.

thanks for the reply, Its no smaller than the others used with dual disc brakes, I will try it and post my results.

if its the origional its 1/2" bore,ltd mastercylinder has a 5/8" bore for dual discs.ive used both without a problem.on a sidenote has anybody ever had a 1/2" mastercylinder bored to 5/8" since parts for the 1/2" are hard to get?:(

plummen and Nick,
Redline Cycle has rebuild kits for the early 1000 trapezoid cylinders, I believe the 78 1000 A models shared the m/c with my 78 650 B model. Does yours have "14" or "14mm" cast on the bottom of the m/c? 14mm is .55 inch, or it's the 1/2" bore model.
