I am mind process on chopping and stretching my 77 kz650. I am trying to clean up the front brake system so that I don't have such a huge mess on the brake side of the bars. Does anyone have any suggestions for maybe a universal set up, or just something that looks cleaner. I am wanting to replace all the way down to the caliper. Thanks!

You could use a later master cylinder and run a single braided stainless line all the way to the caliper (I assume single disk), you'd just have to get a master cylinder that has a brake light switch on it.

i'm kinda going through the same thing. i put a 76 kz900 master cylinder on mine. it's round and all aluminum. not many parts to replace on it. my old rectangle plastic one was leaking all over the place. also, i would agree with steell.

Do you know where could I find the braided line? Part shopping is kinda a pain in Starkville, MS....

I just bought one from Z1 Enterprise. I highly recommend them!

Why not just go with a remote master cylinder like most newer sportbikes have?
It'll clean up that handlebar clutter quite a bit! :)

I scored a really nice remote m/c (including both braided SS lines w/clear covers) from a ZX10 off of eBay for less than $30 including shipping.
