Wheel and tire question

Can you use any bias ply tire on a tube type rim? I'm looking at putting Dunlop GT501 tires on my bike, and my front rim is a tube type alloy rim. They're bias ply, but they dont say that they can be used wiht a tube, and the only info I could find on Dunlops site was to not put tubes in radials.

I seem to remember putting a tube in a tubless tire before, but I dont think the rim will work right when putting a tubeless tire on a tube rim, something about the bead being differant

I think that has to do with the bias ply/radial thing tho maybe. You can get tires that are good for both though.

GT501 tires will work fine with tubes on your tube type rims.

What you don't never do is install tires without tubes on tube type rims.
