Shock installation was created by Qdude
Got some new shocks from a shop. The bushings are the wrong size for my bike, much too big. I called the shop back to see if I got the wrong size and they said that I should use the bushings that are in my shocks now.

It does not seem compatible. The outer diameters of the bushings seems different...

Should I return the shocks and go somewhere else? Or is this just the way it is.

It seems that the shock should just mount up and not need to be rigged up with the old worn bushings...

I think I am being had.

Can't you just have some spacers made up to take up the difference between the ID of the new bushings and your mounting bolt? It might be easier than dealing with the shop.

If that is what is normally done, then so be it. I will. Just did not know if this was how it was done or not.

Do you have a pic of the offending bushings/shocks to compare with?

Aw'right. I am glad the owner knows me. I went in and he gave me a bushing adapter kit. Fixed me right up. New shocks are on and working great.
