Well ok, I'm having a problem with my rear shock mounts.

It seems I'm a complete arse, and have stripped the rear upper shock studs.

I've searched the internet, and haven't come up with a way to replace these. I figured they would be replaced much like a wheel stud on a car, but there is no way to hammer these out the inside of the frame, and now way out the outside either.

I couldn't get it to screw out either.

If worst comes to worst, I can just cut the stripped threads off and run it with less washers, and possibly without the rack on the rear.

Thanks for any help you guys,

Chad

I have the same problem with mine. I have yet to find anyone who has ever replaced them. I'm not sure how they are put in but I'm sure I'll find out sooner or later.

I have to deal with this several times a year.
All I do is weld in a new bolt or stud.
It is a very easy repair.

I would be glad to do a how-to on this when I do it next for a customer.
I don't have pix, so it will have to wait.

That sounds good, I figured that what I would need done.

I'm gonna try to cut new threads first, since I like to do my own work...makes me feel more like a man I guess.

But more than likely I will end up calling my bud to come weld in a stud.

Thanks guys!!!
