I own a 77 kz750B1 and am going to replace the chain. I am having trouble on finding the size though. Is it a 530 chain or what else. I am also wondering about the exhaust. I have a set of mufflers on this that are not original but are made for the bike. The original owner had put them on and I need a gasket for the muffler head pipe connection. I have not seen a bike with these pipes on it but I know the guy personally and know they were added in 77 and for this bike. They are much smaller and louder than stock and pretty much come straight back instead of up. I will post a photo in a day or so. thanks for your help

check the thickness of your sprocket.5/16 is 530, 1/4 is 520,3/8 is 630.then you just have to figure out how many links.

It's a 530 chain and sprockets, 16/38 is stock, although I prefer 17/38 on the twins and I think that's what most of us with 750 twins are using.

Z1 Enterprises sells the exhaust gaskets and the chain and sprockets, I don't think you will be able to beat Z1's price and service :)

Order a new engine sprocket lock washer when you order the sprockets, it's a PITA when the nut falls off riding down the road, it happened to me last year.

Edit:

I see now that you are looking for a gasket for the muffler/pipe connection, never seen a gasket for that but you might try stove pipe compound, that's what we use on the exhaust manifolds (3 piece) on the big Cummins 855 motors.
