Re: OEM Mirrors - Any of 'em junk?
08 Mar 2008 10:20
Aftermarket are all junk. I can't say all I guess, but generally speaking. Most are not even convex glass so useless. A KZ1000 mirror has longer stem, part # 56001-1030 and the good thing is same part number on both sides. Mirrors will be $50 each or so assuming they are available though.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I used a set off my Honda CB350 years ago that I could see everything in. They were convex, round with a good length stem.

I read somewhere that there was at least one company making good mirrors for the aftermarket, just can't remember what company.
Sure would like to know though, none of the aftermarket mirrors I have tried have been near as good as OEM

I am wondering about Mirrors as well. I also need longer stem ones but that bend close to 90 degrees as well. (My windshield is in the way.)
Any good aftermarket or OEM ideas?
EDIT: Another question, anyone know what is meant by the mirror offset? Is that where the bend in the stem happens or something else?
