Ninja experts out there?

I am hoping that there are experts here that know about Ninjas. About six years ago i bought a frontend and then seperately a front wheel assembly. The only notes that i wrote at the time are:

1987 Ninja 600 frontend

1987 Ninja front wheel ZX6 ZX600 13.5mm

The problem i am having is that the wheel axle is a lot smaller than the frontend and the distance between the brake rotors is too small. The front end has the AVDS system on to help identification.

My question is, does anyone know what the model the frontend came from and how many different wheel/ frontend combinations can there be for a 1987 600 Ninja? It looks a lot like a GPZ, is that the same beast?

I now keep detail notes and pictures of everything i buy.
Thanks for your help.
Bryan

I don't know much. I think the 85,86,and 87 were the same parts. It is probably a ZX600. There is some parts on eBay now listed under ninja 600. Roy
