This is very very cool and thany you for posting.
Question:
Doesn't the bike that these parts originally mounted to weigh a whole bunch less that a KZ900?
I have a ZX10 and it weighs something around 400 lbs with oil and gas.

circusnuts,
"Doesn't the bike that these parts originally mounted to weigh a whole bunch less that a KZ900?"
If your speaking of the ZX6 part weights in comparison with KZ weights than I assume so....
Or is your question more in the regards while riding to the front end coming up on me due to the weight change?
Outside of that, not really sure what your question is.

Yes the Kz weighs more but normally sportbikes have a stiffer spring rate to begin with than a Kz does.
I did some research on Race Tech's website and couldn't find a Kz900 but found that a 82-83 GPz550 has a front spring rate of .393kg/mm while a 04-05 Zx-10R has a front spring rate of 1.00kg/mm or almost 3 times as stiff.
Now granted the 550 will have a lighter spring than a 900 but not by a whole lot.

Just thinking the fitment might not be to good if you're looking to run the bike hard.
Albeit the spring rates on the 600 and 1000cc sportbikes are stiff enough, I can tell you from personal experience with my ZX10 that Kawai shaves weight everywhere... which I cannot help but think could be a strength disadvantage when using parts to crossover.
For instance, my 04 had a wheel recall for cracking, the foot pegs were notorious for breaking on riders weighing anything close to 200 lbs and if you rode the bike with any intensity you could expect to replace a set of fork seals each season.
Having said all of this, I think you work is very very cool and thank you for sharing.

Whoa, you guys nearly loss me there with all the kg/mm weight differences and such...lol!
Due to newer technology weight/compression ratios and all I'm not worried about these concerns for one main reason....
This old man will not be riding her hard to he level of > 100mph nor will I be trying nose wheelies, rear wheelies or anything as such that would cause me to crap my pants... :woohoo:
Thanks guys for I hadn't thought of those issues,

Here ya go...
NOTE: After seeing some others work
and how they accomplished, I'd change the top mounting some.
for a cleaner look... I wanted everything tucked up behind the side covers so all good. Just would change a few things.
