KZ1000 tailpiece to KZ650

KZ1000 tailpiece to KZ650

Have a guy wanting know if a KZ1000 tailpiece will bolt onto a KZ650. I would think it would be close but I've never owned a 650 so have no idea. Anybody tried this? Are the mounting holes, etc. the same or ?
1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

Don't know but I've seen a 650 tail on a 1000. I don't think it would be too hard to do.

i do not think it is a "bolt-on" affair. But i am sure it could be modified to fit.

I have both and they do not interchange. I suppose you could modify the frame mount positions, but why would you want to?
Would be easier to find one on ebay as they go cheap

Have no idea why the guy wants to do this but he asked me and I didn't know. I figured it would take some work though. I mentioned E-Bay but he wanted a 1000 tailpiece so I told him I'd try to find out from you know-it-alls. LOL
