new here need some help 82 kz750 N1

hi all. I just picked up a 82 n1 and it is in pretty rough shape but for 100 bucks how can you say no. i need to know what other kz750 parts from that era can swap over, i know that it is pretty different with the shaft drive and all. i was thinking of going with some aftermarket gauges i need to know how hard is it going to be to make those work. I am an auto mechanic by trade, the world of motorcycles is new to me, but i think that i can handle it. Any help is greatly appreciated. i will have more questions when i can think of them.
