I have an '81 KZ750-4 and for the next season I was thinking about changing the sprockets with acceleration in mind.
Anyone have good luck with this?
I have the 630 chain with the stock sprocket up front and I was thinking about toying with adding teeth to the rear sprocket to see what I like.
Anyone have a used 630 sprocket with 33, 35, 38+ teeth?
Chain is not a problem.
My plan is to find what I like and then look to the 530 conversion once I need to replace the whole lot.
Thanks.

I have 77 kz1000 16/40 gearing now, but I'm using a 19/40 with 525 change I just had the sprockets made.Look up jagrider in kzrider you can see it in the pics. Went with 19 front to keep my RPM downs for long miles. But have these as extrs gears 14 and 16 for drag racing the bike.

Gear ratio charts to play with.

My 650 uses a 16/42 and I swapped for a 15/42. Noticably harder acceleration, 2nd gear comes up real fast! RPM's went up about 500 at 70mph.
