couple questions, ive never done a mono shock conversion but ive fabricated plenty of other things.would it be better to have the weight of the motor and other things on bike before finish welding to double check what the actual ride height is gonna be incase you need to modify your mounting points?also shouldnt there be some sort of lateral bracing on the top shock mount right above shock eye for side loads placed on shock and some gussets wher the vertical piece of tubing meets horizontal tubing to keep horizontal piece from flexing?electrical conduit or E.M.T is very thin walled tubing and is not very wear resistant,i would take the swingarm bolt from the ZX-6 chop off the ends to match width of swingarm then i would toss it in a lathe to drill out the center, instant bushingB)

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

Hey Plummen,

"double check what the actual ride height is gonna be incase you need to modify your mounting points"

Since this is an multi adjustable shock felt I was good to go. The weight of the motor is towards the front, not rear so wasn't to concerned about it. I was more concerned with chain clearances and since I did measure the height with the old shock I felt I was ok.
Same time, Good point!

"some gussets on the vertical"
I did think of this as well and most probably will add in the final. Considering this is 1/8 - 3/16" steel, I felt this was solid and isn't going to be a problem. Maybe I'm wrong.

Electrical conduit was only for the pivot tube sleeving. The upper shock "T" is 1/8"-3/16" steel pipe.

As for the lathe, don't have one... As written in the doc, there are other ways to accomplish, this is one that worked for me. ;)

Thanks,

Old Man Rock
