Its a 77 kz1000a1 tank, it has a spigot for a petcock and another smaller spigot on the right, what is it for? My kz900 tank didnt have the the smaller spigot.

i remember reading somewhere that some people used to do that then run a tee between them when they ran sommthbores.
the reason was when the level drop below the high spot in the tank, now gas will still flow from the right side also.

ever have to tip your bike way over on a back country road to get the trapped gas from the right to the left side? i have and it sucks.

i think that is what you have.
either that or it's a vent for the old pollution system and it is not a 77 tank.
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

I have a dual spigot petcock that im gonna put on it. I can run a fuel line from that little one on the tank to the second one on the petcock, and then just run a "t" from the carbs.

Could it possibly be for a fuel sensor? Did that model have a gas gauge?

Could that tank come from a fuel injected bike? The picture isn't that awfully clear but if looks like a return check valve from the injection system. I have one like it on my 85 1300.

well, I asked the guy I bought it from and he said he didnt know what it was but he also said it wasnt functional so I guess if no gas comes out of it then im not worried about it.
