I HAVE THE TWO TIER SEAT AND I WANT TO SWAP IT WITH A FLAT SEAT. WILL A COMPLETE SEAT FROM A 1977 650 SWITCH STRAIGHT OVER???

The spacing of the hinges is different among other things on your seat vs a 1977 KZ650. The seat on your bike is exact same as a 1978 or 1979 KZ650D better known as the SR model. The seat on all these were relatively flat so yours must not be exact original. Theres a lot more SR around than LTD, maybe find a decent used one on ebay or something.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
