Has anyone made up a list of different OEM fork lengths in order to help in the swap/upgrade decision making process? I was considering swapping ZRX forks onto a '81-'82 J-model/GPz and was curious about the geometry. What about ZR1100/Concours/ZX-11? Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Not much help, but I do recall reading of a list like that on some other site, I think it was some site dedicated to modifying bikes, maybe a cafe or streetfighter site.

Sorry I can't be of more help :(

the zx9 all the years from 94 are good theyre 31 inch center of axel to top of tube ,ive done the swap and lost just over an 1 1/2 for comparison the 94 zx7 usd forks are 2,5 inch shorter go to my thred on projects under 82 gpz750 build for pics
it required a custom made yoke but i think the zrx and zx9 coventional forks are almost a straight swap and some year gsxr 1100s

I was contemplating the zx9 front end swap. The USD version was offered on all the B models 94 -97. After that they went back to the traditional sliders. wit 31" it was the longest USD available.

What turned me off was the cost of making a new top bracket and yoke tube for the bottom. Intent was to keep the stock ignition and steering lock functional.

The other issue was clearance for the oil cooler when steering was at full lock.

I'd be interested in seeing if the stock B model Triple tree works after the yoke is swapped out.

These days I'd be happy if my bike was ridable, let aloe starting another project. :)

I think there might be a listing on the TAROZZI websight. They make replacement forks for a lot of different bikes. Here is a link to their sight www.tarozzipaolo.it/inglese/home.htm
