anyone know who widens kz mags?
26 Dec 2007 18:31
i bought a kosman swingarm for the 1000 and i am really looking forward to the fatter rear wheel.
the problum is my bike came factory with mags and i really don't want to change over to spokes if i don't have to.
don't get me wrong, spokes on a nice chromed rim is sexy as hell but i really want my rear mag!
the least expensive price i found so far has been close to $500
i need it at be able to accept a 180 or 200 tire.
any idea where i can get this done for the $200-$300 range?

I assume
www.kosman.net/
is the one that quoted the $500 price?
That's the only place I have heard of that will even do it.

I had my front mag done at Kosman and the rear from Klasmo in Germany. Both were around $450 per wheel. Definitely not cheap. Kosman's price starts at $425 plus shipping. I think Klasmo's is even higher now because the dollar is so weak against the euro. If I had to do over, I'd probably convert a set of sportbike wheels to fit the KZ or buy a new set of PM or other aftermarket wheels.
Here's a link to a great article on Kosman's process...
