Vista Criuse is the name of the throttle lock I had on my bike. Worked great for long rides, to give my right hand a break. It didn't really hold too well, so I only "locked" it for about 20 seconds.

Throttling with your left hand could, and giving your right hand a rest, be dangerous.

Not a throttle lock, but these work well: Cramp Buster

They fit on the throttle and allow you to use the palm of your hand to control the throttle. You can release your fingers and stretch them when tired.

i don't know where to get one, but i'll tell you they're worth every penny. I love the one on my KZ - and when I ride my honda i'm like DAMMIT i need my throttle lock.

comes in handy when you want to stand up on the seat or jump off and hold onto the fender and pavement surf... besides being great for cramping hands.

My bike came from the PO with a throttle lock... I like it and I use it a lot. I keep it adjusted as loose as possible so that I can over-rid it at any time. In a panic there is no time to find and hit a release lever.

I even changed out the OEM carb spring for a much lighter one to make the throttle lighter. I like this setup and would not go back. Where is it written that cranking it has to be hard?

If you use a lighter carb spring I'm not sure you would even need that Cramp Buster palm rest device.

Best of success!

I recently installed throttle rockers (similar to cramp busters) on both my bikes. An unexpected benefit was they are great for accelerating from light to light.
