Looking for a "spare" reflector mount
13 Nov 2007 11:14
I'm starting on the frame on my KZ project and want to put two steering dampeners on it so I need another frame reflector mount that is on the Z1 or KZ900-1000.
Since I'm going to go with a 1427 kit ( at this time that's what I'm thinking ) I don't want that front end getting crazy on me when I crank it up on the highway.
Does anyone have one they chopped off their down tube on the frame??
Or have input on this idea??
Am I just stupid to do this?? I had seen some old school Kaw drag bikes like this and like the look if nothing else.
Thanks! Pat
Kerker boxed up and still for sale:whistle:

1974 900 Z1 modified to look like a LTD , some engine mods. But I still have all the original parts.

If pro is opposite of con, then what is the opposite of progress?

I cut mine off a couple of months ago. I'll look around and see if they are laying on the floor somewhere.

If I were you I'd make my own. It might not be as easy but definitely could end up stronger because you would have the ability to box it in.
Also brace the frame and I highly doubt you would need 2 dampers. Having two dampers is just a band-aid for the problem.
Just my $0.02.
