Hard to find part....NEED HELP!!!
17 Oct 2007 21:37
I am installing a '77 KZ rear disc brake hub on my bike and I'm missing a couple of parts. I need the "collars" that contact the grease seals. On the sprocket side of the hub, the collar isn't much more than a really thick washer but on the brake rotor side, it's more like a sleeve with a ring.
Do any of you guys have these parts you'd be willing to sell?
I wasn't able to link to the diagram but if you go to Kawasaki's online parts diagrams, you can find a picture of the assembly under REAR HUB/CHAIN ('77-'78 A1/A2/A2A) for a 1977 KZ1000.
I'm at a stand still until I find these parts so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Come on people! 26 people have looked at my post and not a single reply. I REALLY need some help finding this part. I've got feelers out everywhere and no part. Surely, someone on this board has got a part or knows someone.
My project's progress is in jeopardy.

I would love to help you i just don't have one extra.
On my bike, the collar was welded onto the axle adjuster; i almost missed it until i noticed one adjuster was thicker than the other.

Don't know if it will be much help but I have found a few used old parts by going to
www.uneedapart.com/used-kawasaki-motorcycle-parts.php
they submit a parts inquiry to several vendors that will give you a quote via email.
I found a GPZ oil cooler and pan for my bike this way.

Did you try Old Bike Barn, Rice Paddy or Bike Bandit?

Forget it. I can never get any pictures to download on this place in the right size. Mine are too big and I can't get them to downsize.
