what is the size of the stock 77 650b-1 fork tubes?
is it 36mm?
i just want to confirm my measurements before i buy clip-ons!
anyone know a good bike (honda,suzuki) to get them from?

36mm it is.
Here's the cheapest new ones I've found (81 gpz550 also uses 36mm forks).

You may have to sand a little of the powdercoat off (sometimes it's a little thick inside the clamp and on the throttle bar) to get a perfect fit, but they look good and work well.

I picked up a set of chrome clip ons for the kz 650 I have and paid around 40.00 for them shipped. Let me see if I can find where they came from again.

It says they are 39 MM but I have them on my 650.
