Parts and crossover information....

I have seen it on here before but can't find it. Isn't there a site that I can go to and see what model uses the same part. I have a seat I thought was off a 1979 KZ1000st and found out that I think it's off a KZ1300st. I need to know if the seat will work on a KZ1000st fast. Appreciate any help or direction where to go to find this out.

I found the site...just had to open my eyes. Now...the list says the '79 kz1000st seat is part # 53001-1026 and the KZ1300st (which is what I have) is part #53001-1358. Does that mean it won't work or will it interchange even though the numbers don't match. I have a KZ1300st seat that came with a KZ1000st and sold it thinking it was for the KZ1000st. Anybody know whether it will or not?

Peter...it's the link up to the right,just under "The Essentials" list.Click on "Kawasaki Parts Diagrams" and somewhere on Kawi's site,You'll find the crossover section.
I've never personally used it because I have My own cross-ref program,but others have.

My understanding is that KZ1000E (ST) seats are model specific, as are the 1300 seats:( There is no crossover.

When you get to the Kawasaki.com site just click on "owners info" and take it from there. Works well...
