Steering Dampener? was created by Maverick
Hey guys,

Bought this GPZ 1100 frame a while back and it has this tab welded to the steer tube. Anybody know what it is for? A steering stabilizer? Just curious. If you have any ideas, let me know!

Cheers!

If I had to guess, I'd say it's for the steering lock, not a damper.

Yup definately the steering lock. Depending on what you're using for the upper triple you might need to cut that thing right off.

Gotcha... So when you park, the steering lock extends down out of the ignition barrel and locks here? Thanks guys!
