kz550 engine guard w/ highway pegs ??
06 Sep 2007 18:02
i just got a kz550 ltd, im going to be riding back and forth from school and home alot, and its a 3 hour drive, and im curious if anyone has ever put highway pegs on one of these bikes, if theres even room, and i take it i would need an engine crash gaurds on first, so i could mount them. im a tall guy, 6 foot 2 inchs, and my legs need some stretching room on this bike. so has anyone ever done it?

I've had a setup very similar to this and found them okay to ride with. It is nice to be able to change your position once in awhile on a long ride,

i wonder how hard it would be to have a set of engine gaurds custom fabbed up. alot of my buddies are welding majors at my school, i figure if i can get a picture or at least where the engine guards would bolt to, so i can make a flange and then bend some pipe.
