Is Brake fluid backwards compatible?

I'm busy fitting an 02 busa rear caliper to my KZ. It takes DOT 4 and the old KZ master takes DOT3.

Can I run DOT4 in the old KZ master?

I think DOT5.1 is compatible with both, but it's hard to find and pricey.

DOT 4 should not be a problem as it is considered compatible with DOT 3. Ed

Yes you can use DOT 4 in the Kawi caliper or MC.

DOT 5 is NOT compatable with either DOT 3 or 4, which are compatable. 5.1 I can't recall.
