Hi all, I have a 78 KZ650B2 thats just had full restoration, its still on original tyres and I want to renew them, any recommendations???
I am considering putting on Continentals, RB2 on the front, and K112 on the rear.

Those tires would keep you exceptionally original looking. Also the Contintal TKH23 and 24 is a good tire. Finding a tire in 3.25-19 and 4.00-18 limits choices. Continental still makes the correct size tires. Very few others do. A 110/90-18 or 120/90-18 is *not* the right size. They will work, but a 4.00-18 fits and looks right if you want original.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

DON'T get rid of those old tyres!

I'm sure everyone here would agree the preferred method of renewing those vintage tyres is with black shoe polish.

Okay! Seriously, my '77 650 had continentals on it that looked ready to explode! But they looked good on the bike and got me around till my new ones came in, even being old, bald, (no REALLY bald), cracked and knotted up. one tough tire:lol:

I think its looking like the Continentals are going to go on, looked at some avons but just weren't as good. Mind you the amount of rain we have had in england this year I will be lucky if they see the tarmac!!
