16\" rim on 77 kz1000 18\" wheel

I'm building a custom bobber that is set up for a kz1000 rear wheel. I have a 77 kz1000 18" wheel, but I want to run a 16" wheel. Can I relace the 18" hub to a 16" rim? BTW I don't want to run a mag wheel. This is only the second bike I've built so I'm still learning the ropes.

You definitely can relace the 16" rim to the 18" hub. It used to be the "thing" to do back in the day. You can get a 16" H@*$%@- D@$#*&^ rim and lace it up. They used to make spoke kits but I'm not sure if the do anymore.

Most older LTD rims are mags and he's looking for spoked. Perhaps you can get a CSR rear rim to work. I believe they're 16" and are spoked.
