Correct spacers and especially the distance spacer between the inner wheel bearing and cush drive. Depending on what year bike you have the rear disc carrier can be different also. I had this problem on my 78. I used Lester mags and had to have some spacers machined to fit correctly. Usually you can find an axle set with different spacers on ebay. What year bike do you have ?

Oops..I just saw you have a 78.

Im using a rotor off a mag rim so that is fine on that.
And the other rim is a shafty and that is why I am wondering what els it needs.
Also what is the cush drive?
And yes mine is a 78 KZ1000 A2.

Shafty's are totally different. Your A2, does it have a separate caliper mount ? Or is the rear caliper a one piece design ?
The cush drive is your sprocket carrier with the star shape rubber block. There is a spacer between the outer bearing on this unit and the inner wheel bearing. It allows you to tighten the axle nut without binding the bearings. Most important.

I have two mag rims ones a shaft and ones a chain the shaft has the rotor on it so I am going to put that on the other mag rim.As for the caliper it is one piece from the axel up and has a brace bolted from the caliper to the swing arm.The other mag "shaft" is from a 82 KZ1100 with the proper shims will I be able to use the caliper on my bike 78 KZ1000 htey use the same bearing and axel diamiter that is?

Can you post some pics.........I think your getting to many different models here. If memory serves.....the shafty uses a 6 bolt disc. Spacers can be used from different models or machined to fit your bike. The fixed caliper has a spacing already. Although you wil need to figure out additional spacing on that side. You will need a chain drive mag. Post some pics if you can.

The other mag I have is a chain drive and it came without the rotor or sproket.
And I will post pics later I need new batteries for the camera.
