need some help with rear brake re-assembly...
25 Jul 2007 02:40
My project has finally made it to the rolling chassis stage. (the lower end is ready to be re-assembled too) However, I'm having issues with the rear brake. Its a chain drive and disc brake. I can't find the torque spec or need for threadlocker on the pivot bolt that conncet the rear of the brake pedal to the adjustable pushrod that activates the master cylinder. Its a castle nut and the bolt is drilled for a cotter pin.
Ideas?

Just snug the nut up and line up the hole with the castle nut and slide a cotter pin through. If you have a cotter pin there's no need for torque or thread lock since the pin does all the work.
