I bought the one Corey had for a buddy of mine and boxed it in with some 1/4 inch plate, worked out great. I built 2 more using his swingarm to build a jig, great design. It takes a little time but it is cheaper than buying a proffesional built one. I bought 4 KZ650 swingarms off of ebay for $65.00 total shipped. And spent another $18 on plate steel & supplies, ended up building 2 stretched swingarms one 6 and one 8 inches for $83.00. Ended up selling the 8 over one for $100.00. Give it a try it isn't as difficult as it seems, just make sure your work area is level and keep measuring corner to corner for alignment.

Yes, he split leaving his mom with a charge card full of items he bought for the bike. He took the motorcycle and over $500.00 from her. No one has heard from him. His mom said if his dad was still alive he would hunt him down and beat the .... out of him for doing what he did.

My GS1100 aluminum swingarm is only 2" longer than the stock KZ650 swingarm.
I was going to use the 900 swingarm but after taking areally close look I saw the 900 swingarm was no stronger than the 650 one so I went with the GS one.
Handles MUCH better now. And it looks great.
It doesn't take much to install either. Just 1.8" washers on both sides and it's in using the stock swingarm bolt.
Here is a link to mine.

a gs arm is 2" over on a 900-1000 and a 900-1000 is about 1 1/4-1 1/2" over on a 650 thats 3+" to my way of thinking?

Does anyone know, with the GS1100 swingarm that i've just acquired, what is the biggest tire size i can go with. I currently have 130/90 on stock KZ mag wheels. Can i go with maybe a diff. rim and a wider tire?

IIRC, Mark Wing is running a cop bike rear mag on his 650 to retain the original look, but it's wider so will allow for a slightly wider tire.

I'm not positive with a GS swingarm and a cop cycle wheel, but I THINK you should be able to squeeze in a 140, or possibly 150 rear tire.

i've heard that if i put a 16'' instead of my 18'' it will allow for a wider tire with teh GS1100 swingarm...but how wide can i go....

Is a cop cycle tire a 16''? If it is, then the maximum width for a rear tire is 140-150, as you said?

i put a 1985 gsxr750 arm in my gpz.no mods it was 238mm wide at mounting same as gpz. and a couple inches longer and i used a gsxr1100j 18 inch wheel with a 170. i dont know how wide your mounting area is but it was cheap and no effort. just had to cut off the monoshock mounts and weld tabs for the shocks. www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5630
