rear shock bolt help needed

Hi all! Newbie here. have a 78 1000 ltd with 22000 miles on it. Wife wanted a bar on the back for that feeling of security. Took off the nuts at the top of the rear shocks with the bolt still inside, rusted togther. I'm sure this has happened to someone else also, so what's the fix for it? Thanks for the help. This site has already been a big help.

did the bolt break or do you mean where its welded to the frame?

Bolt broke. I'm just gonna take it to work and cut off the old and weld in a new one . Thanks.
