Can anyone tell me what part this is. After stuffing around on the tail end i am left with this. Its not the helmet hook. Arrrrrrah!!!!

hmmm .. whatever it is i don't think i have one on my bike. It looks like some kind of bracket to hold a wire or cable in place. Could be wrong though, but that is what it looks like.

It's the helmet holder, or better stated, one of the two helmet holders. (p/n: 32122-010)Item#33 in drawing.

It actually IS a helmet holder. According to my Kawasaki Parts Catalog for the 1974 Z1A, the part number is 32122-010 and is categorized as "helmet holder bracket." It's on page 51/52, #30.
